Tax Masters Financial Analyst Jobs in Houston
The Financial Analyst is responsible for reviewing the financial documents and information of our clients to determine the appropriate IRS settlement that best fits each client’s needs.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct consultations with the IRS on behalf of clients
- Prepare letters to clients detailing IRS consultation findings
- Order IRS transcripts as needed
- Review form 433 data and supporting documents
- Enter data for clients on form 433
- Prepare preliminary financial analysis
- Conduct 433 interviews with clients
- Complete, draft and evaluate client’s Offer in Compromise (OIC) package
- Consult with manager and IRS staff to relay additional information needed to submit the OIC to the client and the IRS
- Answer technical questions regarding the client’s settlement analysis
- Answer client inquiries on the negotiation process with the IRS
- Address OIC appeals, prepare appeal letters, and conduct analysis for appeal
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organization and follow-through skills
- Previous Accounting, Tax or Finance experience is a plus
- Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations is a plus
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, ACT, QuickBooks and basic accounting principles
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure and with accuracy
- High school diploma required; Bachelors degree or some college preferred
